I've been looking for mirrors for my soon-to-be naked RT and have found these after-markets.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SPECCHIO-RETROVISORE-BMW-GS-80-100-R80-R100-R-1100GS-R-1150GS-MIRROR-/181021440984?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_101&hash=item2a25b7fbd8

They say they're for R series but the mount look the same. Does anyone know if the handle bar mount on the R series is the same as for K. The mounting hole is a smidge over 8mm dia and about 32mm deep.

They have mirrors for Ks but I like the look of these better. I did ask them for measurements but communication has been difficult Rolling Eyes

Cheers

They look the go to me. Some people don't like to admit that Ks actually exist, they consider that a real BMW is a boxer. Strange I know but they do exist still even after 32 years

Strange you said that Rick...went in today to get some oil for the 2 Ks. Young bloke in Autobarn wanted to impress me and asked for details of the bikes so that the computer could suggest the ideal oil. Tapped in 1983 in the BMW section and all that came up were R series options..no mention of Ks at all.

Doesn't surprise me. I was talking to a person who was very surprised to hear that BMW are now making a flat four and when I told him that they no longer make them he said "didn't they sell well".  I could see no purpose to continuing the direction the conversation so I just said they apparently came up with a different design.
