Good morning everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mike, i live in California. I am in my 50's and up until two weeks ago, i have always had Japanese bikes. My lasr bike was a 77 GL1000 that i sold because it needed some work and I needed a change.

For the last 6 months i had been looking for a brick, but wanted to find the right one, you know, a K100 with low mileage that had been babied its entire life. Well, I found it. I bought an 87 K100RT with 26k on the odometer, in perfect condition. After i bought it, it went straight to the shop for a service and spline lube.

The bike is beautuful and runs great! Its like riding a work of art.

Welcome here!

Enjoy you rides and the wonderful California.
26k is realy low mileage, almost to low.
You should ride it.

My son is doing a Tripp to Friso tomorrow and passing the sequapark, on his way to Vegas.

Cheers From Germany

Hey Chocolate,

Thanks for the note. We are located in the SF Bay area. About 3 hours from fresno and 10 hours from Las Vegas, (if you are going the speed limit, unfortunately there are no autobans here...) Sequoia National Park is awesome, the desert is beautiful and Las Vegas is, well Las Vegas... its a 24 hour party...

Anyway, nice to hear from you and goid luck to your son.

Best regards,
Mike

New Brick owner in Calufirnia! 177912 Mike. Las Vegas... not fond of Las Vegas. Been once and never again. I just didn't like the place - we deliberately got off the Strip and despite having been resident in one of the poorer parts of Appalachia (eastern KY), I was still shocked at how fast the quality of the housing/infrastructure dropped off. A hundred yards or so off the Strip was a different world - almost poverty-stricken and just not nice at all.
