First of all, I'd like to apologize for my horrible English but, I'll do my best for a good understanding.

I've just bought an old k 100 rs, from 1987 exactly, and I'm like a kid with a new pair of shoes. It has been a dream come true because in 1990 I got the chance of driving a new one that one of my best friends had bought.

Since then, I've owned different bikes but is now when I feel I've purchased the one I need. I'm usually ride accompanied by my wife and she feels safe and comfortable on it.

Though it's quite old and it has 110.000 km. it runs smoothly and doesn't appear to have any malfunction.

If it'd have, I'm totally sure this forum will help me because its amazing tutorials.

Beers for everybody and cheeeeeeeers.

See you on the road:D Very Happy Very Happy

Welcome Domingo, and to your wife. Apparently 50,000 years ago my family spent time in Spain hiding out from the ice-age. We are all related
mate and the K gene goes way back.
I would not even attempt to join a Spanish language forum, so all power to you.
Enjoy that bike.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum Domingo.
I find that when someone starts out with "please excuse my English" then they usually speak it far better than I speak which ever language is their native one. A new brick owner 112350

Isn't english a strange language? Run In is when for the first 1000km you ride easily so to let the engine free up a bit and make the rings bed.

Welcome Domingo. I don't know if it's clear yet, but 'run in' means barely used. These bikes routinely go 300,000 kms with regular maintenence.

No one is going to be tough on you Domingo, we all value each others stories and experiences. If there are things here that you cannot understand, please ask, we would prefer you to ask again than try and do something to your bike without knowledge.
I have asked some stupid questions in the past and they still talk to me.
Cheers amigo.

Welcome Domingo from another new forum member living in England.

I have fond memories of many biking tours I did around Spain and Portugal during the 1980's on various bikes. Fantastic weather, scenery, roads and kind truck drivers who always signalled to let you know when the road ahead was clear for you to overtake.

Hope you find the forum interesting.

Bill

Domingo, we are a world wide community bound together with the love of a particular model of bike. The love of motorcycling goes beyond languages and borders. Your English is much better than my Spanish.
