Hi. New here. I am not a K100 owner, but am trying to become one.  I have been eyeballing an ad for one, but can't get a reply from the seller.  I know it's possible he has already sold it or changed his mind, but I really hope not.  His ad says he bought it with plans of turning it into a cafe racer. 
Ouch. 
It hurt just typing that. If he keeps it or sells it, that may still happen.   I want to save it. 

 We've rescued dogs before; why not a motorcycle?

Pray for me, or light a candle for me, or something.  

I've never owned one, but the K bikes have always fascinated me mechanically.

There's another thing too......a time will come when you cant open the shed.......because you have more Ks parked outside it.

My first one found me when I wasn't even looking. Someone said I should try one. Never had even ridden a BMW until that moment, ended up I bought it. Then I ended up meeting some great guys here on the forum. Life is good at that point.

If you don't get that one there will be another one around the corner. There always is.

Thanks for the welcomes and well wishes. Still no response from the seller. I contacted him again this morning. Not much more I can do.
Can't give money away!
I think he's about five miles away, so maybe I could go outside and start yelling in every direction. HEY! ANYONE GOT A BMW MOTORCYCLE HOR SALE?

No, I did not know about the all-Craigslist search. I knew there had to be something like that out there, but didn't know what it was. Thanks, I think.

Yes, spring is a long time away.
Lots of time for teeth gnashing, nail chewing, hair pulling...

BTW, this all really took off when we moved recently. We left a little over 3.5 acres for 3.5 houses per acre. No trees to trim, driveway to maintain, hardly any grass to cut. After a week, I was bored. Need problems to solve.
The obvious solution is a motorcycle with some needs. One that needs some TLC to be saved from oblivion or someone's idea of "customization ".
The search goes on.

This shouldn't be so hard.

I found another, a K75 I really like. Made contact yesterday, and came to a deal. Seller asked how soon I could come get it, and I said I was a couple hours away but could get it that evening if he wanted, and gave other times I could be there.

That was 23 hours ago. No reply then, or since. Texted later, and again this morning. Nothing.

Maybe this wasn't meant to be.

Thanks bmwdon. Evansville is about three hours away, but that's good to know because I do make it there now and then.
And I do need to join one.

Point-seven-five, I thought I could take the wait until spring because I planned to buy a project to work on. "Unfortunately" the one I got doesn't need much, so it's already bothering me. I could tell myself that had the season been different, it probably would've sold before I could've got it, but "what-ifs" don't have much effect when you're looking out the window at snow and ice.
