Hey, I decided to change the original BMW handlebar grip tubes to non original, i.e. the foam ones.

What about the sizes? The sellers on ebay say that the ones they sell, are universal and fit almost all bikes.

I chose the cheap ones:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-FOAM-MOTORCYCLE-SLIM-HANDLEBAR-GRIPS-UNIVERSAL-/320449864651?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4a9c4ce3cb

Here, they say:

EACH GRIP MEASURES 125mm LONG, 35mm OUTSIDE DIAMETER

THESE GRIPS ARE UNIVERSAL AND WILL FIT MOST STANDARD HANDLEBARS

So, will they fit my BMW?

Thanks.

Find out the outer diameter of your handlebars and find out the inner diameter of the foam grips.

That will tell you if they fit or not.

Need I mention that the left foam grip will have a smaller diameter that the right side (throttle) one?

I've jus tried to measure the grips:

Handlebar grip: 125 mm
Left grip: 25 mm
Right grip approx. 32 mm

I just changed my BMW grips for Pro Grip 713's. The dimensions were 125mm long (both), 24mm throttle side, 22mm clutch side. They were a tight fit and needed light lubrication to slip on over the handlebars.
