Hello everyone! A friend joined for me back in May when I couldn't get my newly purchased 1990 K100RS to start (the side stand was down Embarassed ).
I was in a parking garage with no internet access. A big thanks to everyone who helped me out on that one. Since then a great deal has happened in my life unrelated to the bike which has kept me busy.
But I just completed a 700 mile trek from New York to Tennessee, my longest yet, without any problems with the bike. At least not mechanically. I got my first flat passing through Virginia at 80mph. Luckily it was a slow leak and I noticed that floaty feeling changing lanes. Got off the road and made it to a motel before the tire gave out. Anyway, I'm safe and sound in my new home with a new tire on and I'm ready to dig into this machine. I'm glad to have found this group because it gets lonely around here as far as k-bikes go. That's enough out of me though, I'm sure you'll hear plenty from me soon enough.
