I am ready to give up on getting the Anti-theft system on my K100-RT to operate properly.   The small rechargeable battery has leaked and damaged some of the circuit board.   Do any of you know of a reason that simply removing the 5 pin connector from the anti-theft module under the seat would cause any issues with the bike operation?   I've looked at the diagram, and can see no reason that it can't be disconnected.

That anti-theft system has caused a lot of trouble over the past 6 years I've hung around here and a number of people have removed it to make theri bikes reliable.
