Hi all

Just wondering if I can check the gear LCD indicator OFF the bike on a bench test. I think the Zebra Connector strips to the LCD "may" be an issue. Rather than putting the whole instrument cluster back together each time I was hoping for some info to bench test...

Couldn't find anything through hours of searching this forum.

Thanks Martin. I was hav8ing the same problem and using the link you suggested, found that the GPI switch was kaput. Had a spare and when in the mood, will install it.

They are repairable most of the time. Replace the standard screws with stainless 4mm Allen bolts and spring washers. For longer life waterproof the outside with some form of waterproofing goo Silastic or similar, I used red Plasti Dip it makes for faster gear changes. The first lot of Plasti Dip lasted 20 years and it is removable the OEM cover was in perfect condition under the coating. I just cleaned and lubed it and hopefully it will go another 20 years.
