No, very much well spoken with a very slight New England neutral accent with some hint of Australian.

Well, that one came out of the bottom of a glass of single-malt Glendalough Irish whisky and got lost in the translation. It was meant to be a silly joke on mid-Atlantic accent.

Gillian Anderson, a hottie in my estimation, says she's bidialectal due to her British accent whilst living (for some great length of time) in Old Blighty, and a 'Merkun accent when living in Los Estados Unidos.

Mine comes from Melbourne, Frankston, Rosebud, Trevallyn, Kingston, Dilston, Rosanna, Heidelberg, Mona Vale, Canton, Mallets Bay/Colchester, Williston, Pepperell, Springfield, Tucson, Granada Hills, Boulder, Greenfield, Amherst, Easthampton, Northampton, South Deerfield, West Hawley, Albuquerque, Bampton, Tiverton, Corrales, Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, Sumner, Logan Village, Banora Point, Bilambil Heights, Narangba, Varsity Lakes, Puyallup, Fife and Lakewood, in about that order.

TWB..... 652573

"Bidialectal"

I got excited and quickly googled 'Gillian Anderson Bidialectal' on the strength of that suggestion.
Nope, no videos or pics  must have all been taken down, shame  Sad

And as for the mid-pacific thing, I understood it - seems to decipher well with Penderyn. It'll just be one of those conversations/flashes of insight that needs whisk(e)y to encode/decode. Nothing wrong with that.

I have a badly-mixed accent (Black Country, North Country and West Country with the West Country being the strongest) but my dialect is now almost pure Northern Irish.

I am pretty much stateless and have no tribe. I am sick of being told here in Australia that I  sound very English. Like a BBC news reader! Maybe I  will eventually pick up  "Strine "..... I have only been  here 55 years.

Family in London say I  sound like Crocodile Dundee.

TWB..... Bidial10

Dibialectal or bidialectal, either way the word and the woman is almost edible, and it's not about me. (the highlighted part is a link to an article)

I had a Scots girlfriend - oh, four decades or so ago - who was bidialectal. The front door carpet to her parent's house was like an on-off switch; broad Ayrshire inside, perfect English outside. She never noticed she was doing it until I pointed it out.

I lived in the states for most of the 80s, NY and Dallas and met Mrs Spuds a few years after my return to Blighty. About 10 years in something came up that caused me to say ‘Texas Long Horn’. Apparently I sounded like John Wayne and was persuaded never to do so again (firmly).
