UPDATE: Catering now includes Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings and Mount Perry Grand Hotel will have a Bar at the rally site on Friday and Saturday nights.

[ltr]If you intend to go, as long as the "Planets align" (e.g. covid conditions are ok, the weather, can get time off) then you should Pre-Register.[/ltr]

By doing so it's not a commitment that you have to go, no payment is required when you pre-register, it just gives us a better idea of numbers for catering and helpers to make the rally enjoyable for all. It's better for you as when you arrive your pre-registration form is there already filled out for you to sign and pay your entry fee.
If one planet jumps out of line and you can't attend, it's no big deal, we will just use your your pre-rego form to help get the campfire started.
It's better for us as well as we spend less time at the gate and more time mingling.
So head off to canetoadrally.com.au and pre-register now.

Pssst... the Cane Toad Rally is only 11 weeks away. (Anzac weekend)

P.S. We will have our own Dawn Service on site.

I have done the pre-registration hope other do as well

Need to complete a fan change over before the rally at least I have 10 week to think about get it done
before doing it on the Friday night before leaving

Martin has Pre-registered already. If you want a hand changing over the fan, give me a yell, i'm just around to corner (well sort of). I changed over mine a few weeks ago on the "project bike" with a good spare one I had.

Rick, sounds like no pulling up on the Centre Stand, just use the Side Stand just to be on the safe side.

There are two dirt roads into Mt. Perry and two sealed roads. One sealed road is the Bruce Hwy. to Gin Gin, then turn off to Mt. Perry. Rally site is 5.5km before you get to Mt. Perry. The other sealed road is inland through Goomeri, Mundubbera and Eidsvold. 10km north of Eidsvold you turn right and that road takes you to Mt. Perry. Travel through town and keep going 5.5km north on Gin Gin road and rally site is on your left. The inland way is my choice.

Thanks Gary. Who's going to do the whole 3 days and who is doing just the 2? Are we going to have a meet up point and time so the south siders can do a meetup? As a suggestion the BP northbound between North Lakes and Caboolture would make a good spot.

Saturday a.m. departure for me due to Fri work. Will see how it goes with weather, body and inclination as to whether to stay on/go somewhere else Sunday night and return Monday.

Happy to follow with regard to route. Looks like a solid turnout!!

The BP at Goomeri makes excellent bacon & egg rolls.
I learnt many years ago to stop where the trucks stop to get a good feed.

I intend to go inland to Eidsvold which is near 600k from Stanthorpe so may stay overnight near there then across to Mt Perry on Saturday morning. If you guys from the big smoke want to go that way we could arrange a meet up at Nanango or somewhere up that way.

Are you sure of the 10k North of Eidsvold as the road to My Perry seems to be about 40k North at Langley. (according to Gurgle Maps) Cane Toad Rally 2021 652573

No RicK, Langley is 45km north of Eidsvold and on the top end of Monto Mt Perry Rd which is dirt road up there.

There is a turnoff to Mt. Perry (Kerwee Rd) only 10km north of Eidsvold which brings you out half way along Monto Mt. Perry Rd where you turn right. Sealed all the way.

There is no need to travel as far up as Langley.

Kerwee Rd. is there and named if you zoom in close enough. I travelled on it a couple of months ago. It has bends in it and goes up and down.

I would only be going up Saturday morning
Returning home Sunday

I just punched the location in to Google with the starting destination being Brisbane

It has shown the route via the town Mingo to the south of Mt Perry
But looking at the map this might be part gravel road / part tar road

So the question is
How far is the Gayndah / Mount Perry gravel part and is it a good gravel or horrible remove your false teeth kind full of bull dust and sand ?

I will need to find these other roads that Rick and Garry have mentioned in the previous post

There is a sealed road that will get you to Mingo but from Mingo to Mt. Perry there is about 17ish km's of dirt. It's not too bad, i've done it twice on the K1100rs. i was cruising along at 100km\h the first time and 70-80km/h the second time. There is another road that will get you to Mingo from the south, but it is dirt and worse than above Mingo. If I had a GS i'd go through Mingo. But I have a roady, so i'm going through Eidsvold, bit further to travel but more relaxing.

Hello All
nobody's put anything up as yet to a route or timing

So how does this sound and does it work in with the NSW riders coming up ?

SEQ Meeting point 07.00 am Saturday the 24Th at the BP Caboolture North bound leaving at 07.30 ( Full tank )

First Stop Blackbutt Coffee 1.5hrs ride = 09.00am

Coffee > 09.30am

Second stop Gayndah via Moffatadale 2.5hrs ride 12.00 pm ( 310km from starting point )

Pub lunch 1.00pm + Fuel ( Rally site is 320km return from here ) Possible meeting point with the NSW riders ?

Final stop Wolca Reserve Mt Perry 2 hrs at 3.00pm is this to late in the afternoon ?

This route is keeping us of the main roads but all Tar

I am picking up with Tom Gaz and Waz in Stanthorpe on Thursday morning. Bike is just about ready just packing the gear is all that's left.
First time out in more than 12 months and a new steed to boot.

I found another sealed road that will be a bit quicker than going through Mundubbera and Eidsvold.

Heading north up through Goomeri, turn right at Ban Ban Springs, follow that road (Isis Hwy) through to Biggenden then Dallarnil. Just after Dallarnil turn left onto Booyal Dallarnil Rd. This road comes out at Booyal on the Bruce Hwy., 30km before Gin Gin. Turn left at Gin Gin to Mt. Perry.

30km of Bruce Hwy is not too bad. The Gymkhana is set to start at 2-2:30pm.

New tyres, new (to me) seat..ready to go.!!

Any riders keen to tack on an extra day...PH in QLD on Monday...If the weather is good and I haven't fallen apart, I will probably stop out another night and return to Brisbane on Monday.

May stay on at rally site and do a day run out of there or plenty of camping spots within a few hours of the rally site and Brisbane..

There is an excellent campground near Kilkivan called "Kilkivan Bush Camping". Mmm... nice bike and nice seat.

Could it be the k75 chook chaser?

Had the K packed, new tyre, tolls paid in advance and this morning found it standing in a puddle of oil like a Harley. 2 hours running around on it yesterday and its developed another oil leak. Quickly repacked onto sons V strom just doing oil and filter, should be leaving at lunch time today. Short day to Newcastle.

1200 leaking again, the 100 is Ok but could I not get a front tyre this morning, it will get me to Qld but not back, did not want to look for one on the way again.

Gentlemen (applied loosely) it has been decided that the contingent of the Kweensland K Kronies Kurfari Klub will be meeting at the Bruce Hwy BP Caboolture north bound at 0600. We will then travel in a disorderly manner in the general direction of Mt Perry. Whether we actually get there due to the navigational ineptitude on our part is in the hands of the Gods. However be assured we will eventually end up somewhere. cheers
