Buying front and back. I can get 130s for the rear but the stock is 120. I would like to go stock is. Putting on 130s a problem? The worn tire on the rear is a 130.

Last two sets were shinko, on a Yamaha xs650 the other on a xj650, for the price been happy..
Have not had a bmer in years, 1983 100trt should never have sold it! Also considering Bridgestone.tires. Thoughts?

At our age(I'll be 75 in two months) I'm guessing that dragging pegs and zero "chicken strips" is not a big part of our riding like it is for the younger hot shoes who fantasize about being the next Kenny Roberts(see, I'm showing my age).  Shinkos are a good choice for our bikes and the riding we do. 

Front on the K75S can be a 90 or 100, and 120 or 130 for the rear.  If ultimate mileage is your goal, the Tourmaster is a good choice. It has decent grip in the rain and it will go a solid 8,000 miles before it starts to get squared off from wear in the center.  Even then, you will have a good 2,000 additional miles before it has to be replaced.

If you want to be a little more aggressive in the turns, the Shinko 712 is another good choice.  The compound is a bit softer so they theoretically grip a little better than the Tourmasters(I have never noticed a difference) and wear a little faster, needing replacement at about 9-10,000 miles front and 8-9,000 miles rear. 

If you can change and balance yourself, it's possible to get a set of Shinkos online for about $200US from places like Chaparrel Motor Sports or eBay.  Unless you plan on chasing 20 something wanna be racers save your money and buy a good jacket and riding pants.

A 130/90-17 is specified for the K75S rear wheel in the BMW K100/75 2V service manual but you have free will, of course. You can get Shinkos or Bridgestones from GPMoto in Canada, but you probably already know that, too.

First time ordered from gp sales, they are just 2 hours West of me. Shinko on sale got the 130s 254 cnd for the pair .

Just curious, but where are you in Ontario?  There are a fair number of brickers in the Golden Horseshoe.  You mentioned wheat, are you up in Western Ontario closer to Manitoba?

I'm old enough (64 next month) to appreciate the smoother and safer ride that radial tires provide. I wouldn't get the few extra dollars that I'd save by riding on Shinkos to Heaven or Hell with me anyhow.

Say, what make of oil filter comes with the oil filter wrench? Some have a collection of them , I do not.

Just go to Canadian tire and ask for their house brand filter to fit your bike.  Then ask for the cup wrench that fits it.  I'm going to guess that Wix makes the Canadian tire filters and they are pretty good.  Wix makes most of the private label filters here in the states and they have a pretty good rep for quality.  I get mine at Carquest.
