Well, my S1000RR "supersport-tourer" is in the shop this week, and I needed a bike for a rainy weekend trip...

So I found this pretty immaculate '87 K100RS with 35K on it. If I can figure out how to get the bags mounted I'll be off to Santa Maria on Saturday. Used to have a '98 K1200RS a couple of bikes ago.

I find it so, but I'm comfortable on sport bikes as a general rule.

Good on you Kevin, looks a great bike (both of them). It just struck me the original K was almost as big a deal when introduced as the S 1000 is now.

Welcome, Kevin. I'm very new as well. We have very similar stables. I have the exact same S1000RR as you ... even the same color, tank bag and tail bag. Also, I just recently got a '90 K 100 RS in the same pearl white as yours. I also find the S1000RR to be very comfortable and the seat is actually quite good. Cheers, Ken

Do you have a Buell 1125CR, too? Smile

As to the K100 being a big deal at intro, yes it was. I thought it was very cool that when the first S1000RR demo rides were available last year, the owner of our dealership did escort duty on a pristine K1, in honor of the heritage.

Hi Kevin, I have a Buell XB12Ss along with the K100RS and the S100RR. There's also a Kawi KLX250S for off road. Do you have a Buell as well?

That is really cool with the K1 "honor guard" for demo rides.

I almost asked for a comparison between your K and your S, but no ....

Yes, I have a black 1125CR I picked up in the "fire sale" for half price. I was never down with the Harley-motor Buells.

Comparison? Umm -- both have four spark plugs!

Kevin ... yes & 2 tires. The Buell was good for a while but I've hardly ridden it since getting the S and will probably sell in the spring. Ken

Are you twin brothers?
You should also compare the first name of your wife and kids. Question

Could it be? Maybe you hit it, Bert. Just like the twins from the Schwarzenegger movie, Twins. And, we only live a continent apart. Small world & 6 degrees of separation and all. Ken

I think it'd be more like 140 degrees, even by the great circle route.
