Hello 👋
I’m looking for a place to keep a K100 in the south west. Ideally near a major airport. Phoenix, Vegas, LA, San Diego…..
Any ideas?
Thanks

What is your budget?  I would look into self storage complexes.  Many of them have 4'x10' units.  I rented one of those units a few years back for $50/month.

I like the idea of a single unit where I am the only one who has a key.  You can keep the bike and your gear there and know that no one is going to be messing with any of it.

Thanks .75

I like that idea. Where did you rent? Quick look, anything large enough is $100+. I haven't exhausted the search by any means. Just getting started…

The unit I rented was in Massachusetts.  I rented it about 9 yeas ago, so I would expect it would be a bit higher today.  $100/month doesn't sound all that bad.  Last couple years I was paying $170/month to store two motorcycles and a car over the winter.

When keeping two bikes in storage Down Under from 2012 thru '22, I started out paying AU$125 per month for what was essentially a 'closet' sized space. It was enough length-wise for two bikes, a tallish toolbox, several plastic totes, a coupla wheels, and a spare Airhead frame. In the end it had risen to AU$175 per month. Shuffling the bikes through the narrow door was a bit of fun but at which I got pretty good. That amount of space doubled in Washington state cost me US$160 back in 2019. $170 sounds about right. The dealership I last worked for near Tacoma slotted bikes in (covered, dry, secure) for the winter months with access to a wall charger for $140 per month. Check with local dealers.

I'm renting a 10'x10' storage unit with room for a motorcycle lift in its center, a table and generator on one side,  storage boxes and an air compressor on the other. $89 per month. I'll never whine about the price again. The Brick will be lodged into it in early November. Wanted: Storage for one K100 in Arizona or California 177381
