Well the Mother Ship is just about ready to fire her first shot in a lot of years. Fitted the new fuel pump and a few other bits & pieces last week. Pushed the start button and she turned over a beauty...just wouldn't start. Pulled out the spark plugs and had plenty of spark there. Checked the fuel rail and had plenty of fuel. Only thing between the two is injectors. Pulled them out and sent them to a mate for cleaning. He rang me tonight and after three days in a sonic bath they still would not open. I guess all those years of being closed have had a profound effect on them. Sad

Had a look at the Euro Moto Electrics website and they have new Bosch ones for $80 (US) each so I guess I will probably go for the new ones with the higher flow rate at that price. It will just slow progress for a bit. I know the 90's Falcon ones are meant to fit but I am having some trouble matching impedance and flow rate to the OEM ones. Anyone got a ford part number.

So it looks like I will be on the Ducati for the Araluen trip. Bit worried now about what you folk will say about me now. affraid

Stuff happens I guess. Still a cheap ride once I get it going.

Dave

The injectors that go into the 5 litre ford V8 used in the EA EB ED Falcons are supposed to be the same. I have 8 spare injectors that I would be quite happy to give you a set but I don't know if they are workers I will take a set out tomorrow ans test them and get back Dave.

Just so long as the monster doesn't get near the sweet 16 year old K75 that my other half rides I dont need a heap of little bricks running around at my age.

Thanks for that K Freak.

You will not have to worry about any brickets running around I have had the Monster fixed. Even though it is only a youngun. I found it the easiest way to calm its temprament. Injectors?...... Carbies would be good 44271

I checked out all 8 injectors today and no go on any Dave so I just might use them for landfill.

Very nice Blakey. Sorry RT it is red. I thought there were only two colors- red and red/green.
