Hi


I have just taken delivery of my first K bike. In fact my first "4". The other bike in my life is a 1989 Harley FXR and the new one is an '89 K100RS. Something of a contrast. I live in North Herts and have had a bike in my life since my father gave us a Francis Barnet when I was nine in 1963. In bits, without a manual. In real life my wife & I do clothing repairs & alterations, specializing in bike kit & vintage clothing. And I am in the market for a pair of mirror glasses and a rhs mirror pod in blue. And a Adler walking foot sewing machine :-)

I was begining to fear there was an antiodean takeover plot! You'll love the K bike just give yourself a couple of hundred miles to get the feel of it and you'll be as hooked as the rest of us!

Welcome John the hat, from Oz. The only reason so many of us convicts appear is that we get to ride all year and break things.
I've been to your part of the world and it is a great area. My great great grandfather probably stole some hanky from yours at some stage.

Thanks guys. Just need to get my head round NOT changing up at 3500 rpm and work out how to turn the heated grips off.

An welcome from here too. You also have to get used to not using lower gear than 3rd in roundabouts - particularly in the rain.
