Very Happy Hi ..just joined the forum ,I ve got a k100rt 1986 and have already had some great advice from you guys. Had my beemer 4 years and until recently its been trouble free,bought the bike from a friends bike shop it was (is) in good order,well looked after and garaged,it came with lots of new spare parts all cables,bulbs,fuel filters,oil filters,brake pads full set,3 sets of spark plugs,haynes manual,bmw puncture outfit,first aid kit you name it was there,hopefully i can resolve the problem with help from all you k100 owners out there....all the very best jim

Hi Jim,
Glad to have you on board welcome to the group. One tip if the puncture repair outfit is the one that came with the bike get some more glue it may be way past its use by date. I opened a sealed tube of glue once to find it had lost all of the solvent and there was just a withered strip of dried rubber left.
