I too am French Resident and new to the fold of the flying brick.

I already have an R100RT but was offered an "as new" K100 Rs 16v and couldn't resist. It has been owned since new by a chap I know in the UK and it as 5800 miles on it. I am recommissioning it at the moment and mostly fine. Discovered a weep from the front master which hs already been repaired by a BM dealer 400 miles ago in 2004. I will probably try an get away with another repair kit as a new cylinder isn't cheap but we will see.

Need to get my head in the manual and see how to attack the brakes as I also have a flashing ABS light.Crying or Very sad

Looking forward to getting it on the road soon.Very Happy

Welcome on board Dunney good to have you with us. Once you have tried the reset of the ABS brain if it comes back do a fault diagnosis as per the website I will add to this message, and if you need it fixed the guy is quick and totally reliable. http://bmwk10075abs1fix.web.fc2.com/ When mine failed he fixed it economically and permanently.

Thanks for your advices and support. Yes this part of the world is heaven for a bike. Deserted roads, some with racetrack surfaces. I need the RS so that I have two modern bikes to use as a tour guide which is part of my long term plan with a Biker based B&B.
