find the info. here. http://www.bmbikes.org.uk/Forum/index.php?sid=c5ec4fb832692e652a8b0cf1cb54c259.
Go to home page, enter, and then look for bike specs., lots of info there.
Hope this helps, here in the UK there is a site which will tell you how many of a specific vehicle are registered and on the road, again it is one that needs to be found .

In Australia, the only way I could find out about how many new Ks were sold was to contact BMW Australia.

What an interesting site! Our various states do different things with their statistics. The state of New South Wales has not got the technology to tell us how many K100s are still on the road....legally.

Thanks ungaas, fascinating data, my two K's represent .004% of the total RS's taxed!
Cheers,
Paul.
Just found a reference that 46,568 K's were produced by the end of '85.

There were 3458 Ks of various flavours, ie, rt, rs etc. imported by BMW Australia and sold here. How many still alive? No one can tell me. Some have been imported and exported as well. The members of this forum can account for about 14 still up and running.
Good luck with your quest.

Blimey, not many road legal bikes in the UK and declining fast! Interesting that there are more RS's than LT/RT's.

Hang on to 'em they'll be worth their weight in gold one day - well, maybe not quite that much! Very Happy

Best
