I currently ride a 2008 R1200RT but came to the forum to get some help for a friend that just bought a 1987 K100LT.
I have been riding BMW's since 2000 and have acquired over 258,000 miles on 2 K1200 LT's and this RT.
Being 65 years old it was time for me to size down from the LT and enjoy the RT. I will see if I can manage to attach a pic of my 2003 LTE at the Dragon last year.

The LT in that picture had 164188 miles on it when I sold it last month....I do miss it but the RT is so much lighter and a lot of fun.

Welcome, Ron, I cringe at your lack of PPE but I guess it's pretty tempting to dispense with the body armour in your climate. You're in the right place for technical knowledge for all things brick related.

Welcome Ron. You may have to be Ron II, RJtrucker already has the Ron moniker. You will enjoy reading the posts. I recommend reading old topics, use search option. These guys are better than original BMW development engineers...kfilipow usa
