Is there some special technique for getting the bar end weights off K100LT bars? Bolt came out easy enough, but can't get the actual end weights to shift at all. So, have i missed something or is if time for the big feck off mallet?

Have a look at the pictures a bit down in this thread,
could be a bit easier when you see how it look like on the inside.

Slack the screw and give it a 'wack' with a hammer. This should release the tension and permit to remove the bar ends.
