Hi

Is it possible to renew the seal between the gear box and the rear drive shaft without taking the gear box apart? I've kept this bike going for 28 years and really don't want to scrap it, as otherwise this could be quite costly.

Any advice gratefully received.

Welcome Roddy!

Shouldn`t be any problem to change this seal in situ.
Have a look in this thread, metods to use would be similar.
