I posted some crap
Charlie responded.
I contacted 73MOH who I had never met or chatted with. He went and looked at a bike for me.
I was wondering how I was going to get the bike.
Charlie said he would do whatever it was I needed. pick me up, drive me round.
73MOH offered the same. Train to his place and a lift to the seller.
Meanwhile Mr Klompy has a new friend by the name of Tackler who lives in the Queensland way and he offered to take me to the bike.
I half heartedly posted I need a place to rest my head and Rick G offered a bed.
Saxon7 saw my post and offered a bed and would leave a key out in case I got to his house before him??? Only met him once.
Then Rick G says he will ride 3 hors to meet me at the sellers house and ride back to his place. Any excuse for a ride but still a very generous offer.
Then Tackler who I have never met heard from Mr Klompy I was interested in a bike and offered to take a look for me. then offers me a ride on his newly purchased bike from the airport to the seller.
Oh. Forgot. Rick G also offered to go look at the bike for me, but due to the sellers work hours this did not happen. btw, a 3 hour ride from his house.
At the start of all this Mr Klompy offered to take me to see the bike and then ride home with me. Only a 20 hour round trip.

So. I am getting the bike on Sunday. Rick G is meeting me there. Tackler is hopefully meeting me there. If 73MOH (Paul) is not working he is taking me there.
Rick G is riding back to his place with me to stay the night.
Rick G is riding with me to Guyra the next day to Saxon7s house to maybe meet Mr Klompy (water pump allowing) and then back to sydney.

I am pretty blown away by the simple act of buying a motorcycle. I know I have missed a step in here somewhere and I apologise to you.

If this forum is not a place of goodwil, inspiration and mateship then... a meat pie is vegetable

But then I would not have had a red bike to run up and down your drive on.

I can show where to go but Blakey will have to put us up coz I aint riding all the way back from there in the dark. There's scary things when it's dark and those damn furry grasshoppers

Hi Rossco, Your trip to collect the bike sounds exciting but you could get lost with all the different offers of help and directions you could take. If you read the manual, you might need the following eguipment 1.GPS 2. Road Map and a Navigator. Good Luck !

Seems like the same spirit as I encountered with an electrical problem, it led to numerous offers of assistance, ended up meeting people I never met before, offers of accommodation on trips up north, its all part of the K spirit.....as they say, enjoy it and pass it on....

Might as well put this out on the list:

On the Sunday I'll be leaving Sydney and heading back up the hill with Bella. Mr Klompy is thinking about coming along for the ride as well. Anyone else who is interested is more than welcome to ride along as well. We can go to Guyra via Thunderbolts Way, grab a bite at Gloucester, partake of very ordinary food at the Guyra Lamb and Tattie Fest in the evening, drink some neck oils and people can stay over at my place. Then on the Monday Rossco will be passing through Guyra on his new velocipede and people can accompany him from here to Sydney again. This would be a good opportunity to ride along with him and occasionally sidle up next to him, shake your head and point randomly at bits on his bike as he's riding along, indicating that things are going to fall off.

Anyone wanting to head north can meet us at the last servo at Berowra before the Old Rd at 8am. People from Newie etc might like to meet at Raymond Terrace ? Some of those Banana Benders might like to make the trip down south to say G'day as well....any excuse for a ride. Watch out for the gendarmes though...it's a long weekend.

have yet again flushed and checked the coolant system....replaced rear tyre ( ran a hacksaw blade along the tyre tread whilst in gear to remove release agent) will trial today and fortunately no longer need to go to Westmead as Col is home now...where to go for a shake down run.....will let you know Sean whats happening...

nothing like putting some killometers on the tyre klompy ....hopefully dry road ...

So the reason I am on a 12.40 flight to Brisbane on Sunday and not an earlier flight has now been cancelled.
Could have got the bike by lunch time, gone to Saxon7s and had a singalong on Sunday night.

At least Rick and myself should have a nice welcoming committee.
We are expecting some gate decoration, a witches hat to guide us into the correct parking bay and maybe a sash of some description. Don't be concerned with the tiara. So last year. Please, no flashes.

Also hopefully meeting 73MOH who offered to ride me down to get the bike from Beenleigh.
Tackler is keen to meet up and wants to ride down to Ormeau also.

As far as I know only Rick and myself will be returning to Stanthorpe.

Meanwhile, Saxon7 is meeting Mr K at Berowra about 8 on Sunday morning.
GroverK is meeting them at Heatherbrae.
They are all heading to Guyra.
Monday, Rick and myself are heading to Guyra, saying hello, patting the dog and Mr Klompy, GroverK and myself are heading back to Sydney.

No real plan Alby it's just sort of happening. We will be going through Warwick about 6.00 at the earliest. Your're welcome to join and stay if you wish but you will need a swag.

Hey no worries GroverK I had the last 2 days going to Singleton in the arvo, Normal duties begin on tuesday so will be heading to newcastle in the arvo's again. i haven't had this pc fixed yet still trying to find out if its smarter to go with one of those newer type solid state notebooks ya can buy for about $400. just needing to know if they would cover all this site offers with the movie and picture's in most threads, still just a techno skairdy cat I guess cheers
