Just fitted this to my K. Made it from a piece of aluminium grill left over from the stone guard I made for the radiator.
Folded the edges to make it rigid and fixed it to the bolts holding the injector rail with a couple of brackets.
Cost pennys to make.

An elegantly simple solution CJ! Those engine covers gleam too. I must say I like the way you're going with this whole naked machine, little individual toutches everywhere but without compromising the whole K bike origin.

That looks useful. I need something to protect the front of my radiator. Where did you source the grill from? John

Bought a sheet of it from B&Q (UK hardware store) for about £8. They had a range of different types.
Cut to shape with small cutters and drilled small holes in the flange top and bottom of the radiator. Fixed with small Allen bolts and lock nuts.
Split some rubber fuel line and run it along the top and bottom of the radiator. The edges of the sheeting are sharp.
Left it shiny so far but may paint it with good old Hammerite satin black same as the injector cover.

I was wondering is there some potential risk of malfunction or something if injectors are not covered? Mine are not, so I'm just thinking should I do my own shield too? Question

No mechanical reason to cover them, although I suppose it would keep curious fingers from fiddling.
Motorworks can supply a plain, black plastic cover similar to the original, complete with the mounting bolts for about £20.

Indeed they do:

Bodger's injectors guard BMW%20K75S%28313%29-L

It was originally an after-market bit of "bling" (produced by Wunderlich I think), now reproduced by Motorworks. It tidies-up the look on bikes that don't have a fairing panel covering the injectors and furl rail.

I actually have all the materials for shield making, but I think I will do it not sooner than winter 13-14. Concentrating on driving now. Very Happy

Thanks again.
