Just had a quick look at merida on Wiki and it sounds like a great place to ride with plenty of hills.

I'll be there, but not on my K11.
I'll be taking my Suzuki DRZ400S as I plan on taking a week or so the long way there and back via numerous back dirt roads and tracks.

Rick, I hope that you have a quick recovery.

Can we visit and take turns riding your bike so it doesn't just sit there? We promise we'll be gentle!  Twisted Evil

Marie and I are definite, we have little choice Smile

We are usually there on the Friday evening, it's a quiet more sociable night that the Saturday when the numbers hit. This time I have to arrange someone to replace me at work on the Friday if i am to be there. I'll be with sidecar and dogs.

I need to correct the dates, they are Fri 7th Feb - Sun 9th Feb.

The dates listed are from 2 years ago (the 35th rally).  I'll have to find out how to get them corrected on that site.

I'm gonna put a wide ski on the front, a paddle wheel on the rear and arrange for some  "in-flight" refueling along the way. I figure if I leave by January 14 that I should be there in time.

Either that or I'll know where Amelia Earhart ended up.

The amount of rain that campsite attracts, the ski and the paddle wheel might be an advantage anyway.
