Hi Rene,
I recall there used to be custom tank builders in Germany who made big tanks for BMW bikes I well recall seeming some on bikes guys from Germany used to commute to the Isle of Man TT and Manx GP.

Ray Randolph built this particular tank but sadly he is no longer with us. I found this old link advertising his work and the pictures verified for me that he did make mine.

For what it is worth, I saw one of those tanks for sale on craigslist.org in the detroit michigan area within the last month or so.
