1985 K100 is good to ride, unless I have a pillion on a bumpy road, but need the bars closer so arms can bend. Suggestions please?

Welcome to the forum too!!.

Which K is it? If you put up a photo or model and year you will get some answers.

You can change to RT/LT handlebars, also get risers and also can set the bars back as well or a combination. Need to check on clutch cable and other cables/wiring for length but lots do it here.

welcome friendly K owner. A good shock helps. I'm looking at fitting an R1150RT rear shock to the K100RT?? got the handwheel adjuster. I'll c if it works, I'm 130kg the misses 100 the gear 50kg the bike 240 ouch thats a lot of kgs, blow the rear to 46, front 38 psi, still cruises and handles nice, try that on a japa.

Hi andy b.... I do or try to do, lots of riding with a pillion,, hehe, My solo set up on the K75C is Perfect for me 5'10"

in the old money, after taking 20 mm off the seat. (sorry to mix up the measures) With a pillion it's a compromise

but rarely do i wish for wider bars.

My suggestion is, forward crouch, cheat the "wind" and 75C bars!

Thanks to all rapid responders; model is K100 1985 with no letters . I'll source some bars and add some air before going for a new shock.

Welcome, your K100 bars should be the same as the K75c bars, so source a set of krt bars for a further 2inch advantage ie closer to you, failing that try ape hangers some places stock them in our size 22mm, if you ahve to go this route be careful that the bars you get actually allow you to sweep them backwards as some bars are set up so the grips are flat with the bars near verticle but once swept back leave the brake resivoir at an odd angle.
