Hi all Most  likely one of the most southern riders in the Aussie category. (unless there's some one from Hobart here?) anywho I m the proud and sometimes frustrated rider of a 1988 K100rt, a hard working war horse she is. this sight has been a source of great comfort and hope as I find out, I can keep a Beemer on the road. many thanks  to you all.

Welcome George, I think we have a member from Hobart so if you want to be the furthest south in Oz MacQuarie island may be the place.

Welcome George,

When a lot younger I lived a bit further inland at a place called Luina.  Burnie was the big smoke in those days.  A place to go and stock the pantry.  Dad worked at the mine and I went to school at Savage River.

We were there for just over a year before moving to the tropics and I believe the place is a bit of a ghost town nowadays.  Trout fishing and the cold are probably the strongest memories of that time.

Cheers, Dave.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy the international flavour although all the expertise is available domestically due to some great & dedicated members from Auz unselfishly posting there knowledge.

Like the Krauser panniers BTW.
