Unfortunately they are very scarse especially the radiator cover and as a result expensive.
About 2 years ago I saw a radiator cover go up on fleabay in the US for $400 and it was gone within 24 hours.
It took 6 years for me to find one here in Australia.

Motorworks may have everything you need:

Bellypan and bracket (bottom two items):

http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=10&M=40&Ct=WA&SbCt=BA_10_40_WA_40

Headlamp cowl (top three items):

http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=10&M=40&Ct=WA&SbCt=BA_10_40_WA_46

Radiator panel and cowls (items two, three, four and five):

http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=10&M=40&Ct=WA&SbCt=BA_10_40_WA_46&spPage=2

Total is a reasonable (to me! Very Happy ) £405+plus shipping. However! These are secondhand parts and it does depend on whether they are in stock.

hallelujah, i have scored a radiator cover, cowls, and a new headlight from the k100 guardian angel himself!

to truly complete this magnificent work in progress I am now in need of proper mounting and headlight coverage.

i only have the top porting of the headlight mount that the blinkers mount on & i figure i could either use the back portion of the mount (but that still requires a way to cover the top and bottom of the exposed headlight) or to find a new mounting system all together.

ill post some photos of what ive got tomorrow.

Hey Kyle, I don't think you need a cover piece to go around your headlight, you just need the right Bosch headlight to go in what you've got. My naked K75 had that type of headlight mount when I got it - check the photo below.

WTB 1988 k100 Standard Headlight Fairing / Radiator Cover Img_0611

There were two different types of naked headlight mounting - the other type looks like this (Photo courtesy of the late MikeP)

WTB 1988 k100 Standard Headlight Fairing / Radiator Cover K75_0210

I believe the OEM part number for the complete headlight that you need to look for is 63121459481 which is for US and Europe or 63121459482 for UK, Australia etc. The difference is the lens pattern for driving on left or right side of the road, I assume the metal shell and ring are the same for both. If you find one with the wrong lens pattern the glass can be purchased separately from Motorworks.

They are rare in our part of the world and not cheap - around A$250 second hand.
Cheers

I think the chrome shell like Basic2's version looks better than the black.

Ebay. Any 7-inch side-mount shell will do you.

Ah, Dai - I thought the headlight shells were any old 7 inch until I bought one and it was too small.

The dimensions you need Kyle are 207mm (~8 1/8 inches) across the flat mounting points on the side of the shell. The glass lens where it protrudes from the chrome ring is 185mm (~7 1/4 inches) across.

Just out of curiousity, what size across the outside of the shell is the one you have fitted at the moment?

Cheers

I recognise that headlight! Very Happy Forgot to tell you that the rubber tape isn't there to hold things together, but to replace a completely rotted seal that's needed for the OEM setup. Before anyone jumps, yes, it is lefthand drive. I have no idea what it was doing in LFB when I got her and even less idea about the mechanics that continually passed it through the annual MOT test.

Kyle, the headlight insert on your link looks like one listed on Motorworks with a notation that it is for the early model naked bikes and will not fit the later naked style with the shell like I have.

Check item LIK59313  at this link.

Maybe the naked bike setup like the white bike in my earlier post with the louvered section above the light didn't have a shell and the sealed beam was mounted directly in the shroud. Maybe some other forum members can help with details.

I am interested in this as well as I have kind of the opposite collection of bits to you Kyle. I have a complete headlight and shell (not my K75 one but an additional one for another project) and I also have the shroud with the louvered section but they don't quite go together.

If anyone has an OEM naked K100 with the louvered section and can supply photos of how the headlight sealed beam is mounted inside the shroud it would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Kyle, more research and I think I have answered my own questions, at least for what you need.

The two clips from the RealOEM site show the sealed beam and mounting components from a naked K100 earlier than about 1988.

Hello Gaz

Can I split hairs please? As I understand it, a sealed beam unit is one where you can't change the headlight bulb because the reflector is the bulb. The K headlights all have bulbs that you can change.

Just nitpicking for possible clarity.

Dai, you're dead right, my understanding of the "sealed beam" is the same as yours, I was just loose with the terminology.

We also get the term "semi-sealed beam" over here for headlight inserts where the bulb can be changed but the reflector and glass cannot be separated, whereas our K bike headlight fittings can have the glass and reflector separated and bulb changed.

Ungaas, thanks for those extra photos as it all helps clarify what bits fit with other bits. I've got interested in Kyle's search for parts because I am thinking of setting my K1100 up as a naked bike for perhaps 9 months each year.

It seems like both Kyle and I have a combination of headlight mounting parts that are a mixture of the two types that the K series came out with. It's a pity postage costs are so high now between the US and Oz as we might have been able to do some swaps.
