It wasn't deliberate, but when my last tin box reached the end of her days at the scrap-yard after 16 years mostly reliable service, I somehow ended up adding another thorough-bred tourer to my BMW stable - and, coincidentally, she matches the colour of the LT too.

OK, so she isn't another K bike, is 19 years younger and was about 15x the price of the LT ... and is unlikely to run for as many years either but they seem to be getting on well together.... and they're asking if I will get a bike trailer so that we can all go out together! Any recommendations (apart from sell the car and buy more bikes!) welcome.

If it's anything like my 320i it is more than a tin box, there's a heap of plastic as well Laughing

A new addition to the stable 44271 Yeah - plenty of plastic too, but that's not too different to the LT - just more expensive plastic.

I went for the 318d M sport as it gives a bit better fuel economy that the petrol version yet still goes like the proverbial off the shiny shovel...well, that's how I self justified the M sport upgrade to myself anyway!

Vaguely looked at a getting a convertible instead, but even the top box on a LT is bigger than the boot on one of those things when the roof is down and, let's face it, the UK weather does not really justify buying the bottom half of a car.
