So I took my girl out for a group ride starting in Napa, went through to Berryessa Lake, back through Calistoga, Sonoma, over to Guernville, down to Occidental, through the Marin back roads and back home....she ran like a champ and kept up with the newer BMW's, Ducatis, and Japanese bikes.

The next morning I rode her to the store for my Sunday morning breakfast ingredients...and beer for the afternoon.  As I was leaving the store I noticed 3 hot looking young ladies....in my mind they were checking me out.  I took off nice and smooth thinking how cool I must look to those young'ins.

A half a block from my driveway....clutch cable snapped....I first geared into the driveway and hit the kill switch.

I was putting off replacing the clutch cable and regretted it not doing it before my group ride.  But as mentioned, she ran strong for that trip even waited until I was close to home....before she broke down on me.

Sorry for the general ramble....but have I mentioned recently how I love my K?

I'll mention it now...I love my K.

Yep! K's certainly have feelings...Got home from a 300Km ride, up the driveway at home. parked the Yellow Peril to side of the driveway, removed the car from the carport to allow access to the shed. Went to start it to ride up to the shed...no go!! Fuel pump failed at the very moment. Couldn't have happened in a better place!

Only once have any of my K's not got me home and that was my fault for useing a cheap head gasket. Even then I probably could of rode it home on 2 cylinders pumping coolant out of the exhaust if I kept pouring more in the other end. She Even Breaks Down Perfectly 44271 Gotta luv em   AB
