I am a new owner of an old K100RS... Can't wait to make it 100% and get out on the highway with a bike again.

Welcome to the forum. No doubt you will enjoy the K. Everyone here is very helpful and a lot of knowledge and very willing to share it.

Have a look on the home page [Portal] on what to do if you have just bought a K. Never be afraid to ask a question, someone will have the answer and its usually the cheaper option.

When you can, pop up a photo or two, add your VIN and you will find everyone wishing you luck.

Are Ks in Texas the same size as everywhere else?

Welcome TDH,

There's no such thing as an old K100RS, only a K100RS that hasn't been ridden enough. Get some details added to your sig block (VIN etc.) and some pics posted, nobody here minds if she ain't pretty...but we all appreciate the beauty when they are!

You'll find a wealth of information, tips and hints throughout the forum - and some great worldwide wit and repartee for free.

Enjoy the ride.

Welcome yadamnedhippy,  congrats on the acquisition and good luck on getting it 100% and on the road.  This site and it's helpful members will be a huge help if/when you get stuck or just need some encouragement.  It's nice to see another member here in the SW U.S.

G'day from Australia. Welcome to the Knuthouse.

I have a special connection with Texas. One of my ancestors died at The Alamo, James Bulter-Bonham.

All she needs is a new timing chain(maybe more), a battery and some new spark plugs.
