Can anyone help me with some good drawings/technical info for the starter motor/sprag clutch on a '86 K100rs.
Any help would be greatly apreciated!

If your sprag clutch is slipping, you can try to flush you engine.
If you don't want to go this way, this engine has to be taking off the bike in order to access it. (The clutch housing has to be removed).

Hi MarkR,
Try draining the engine oil, fitting a new filter and refilling with premium quality diesel engine oil like Shell Rotella or Rimula and go for a really long hot ride. That should clean up the engine safely and should hopefully loosen off the sprag clutch. Try using the diesel oil for several oil changes to thoroughly clean it out, remember as our K clutch is outside the oil there is no worry about the effect of the oil on the clutch.
Regards,
