for all of you with Acewell gauges, I've manage to get the fuel gauge to kinda work, not sure how accurate it is but is seem to work, all I did was attach the yellow wire from the additional gauge connector (that might not be what it's technically called) under the tank to the dark blue wire on the Acewell, my bike is a K75c 1986 so could work for you  Acewell fuel gauge fix? It's going to indicate fuel level in reverse. The Acewell expects high resistance for full tank and low for empty. K-bikes indicate the opposite. You'll have to do the modification I outline in my post on Messing with the In-tank Fuel Sender.

So, after a lot of fiddling around, I FINALLY got SOME things working with the new Acewell 6653 gauges.  Among other things, the LED turn signals are all working (with the aid of resistors) and flashing well within the 200 per minute maximum in Pennsylvania.

For those of you who have an Acewell unit, here's the question:  When the signals blink, does the backlighting on the gauge blink, too?  I can't see any reason for that to happen, other than the dummy light.

Assuming that should not happen, any suggestions for remedying the problem?

Cheers,

Frey

PS, nothing was working with the battery tender on.  Guess that may be obvious to some of you with more electrical knowledge.

So, I went and had dinner, came back, tried the indicators again so I could clarify exactly what happens, and totally different presentation.  I touched nothing.

You have gremlins. Loose wires?? This problem may come back to haunt so go over your wiring again.

The dimming of the gauge light when signals are turned on may be from a shared ground.
