Hey Guys,

Have a buddy who saw my k100 and ran out and bought one for himself. He’s new to K-Life so hes not on the forum just yet, but is in a pickle. Woukd love sone help...

He bought a 90’ k100. It needed some parts and he ordered a 87’ k100 left front caliper. He also ordered a 90 k75 brake pipe (hard line that connects 2 front calipers) will these 2 parts work on his ‘90 k100?

Appreciate the guidence

His bike is a 1990 K100lt. The parts he ordered - Left Front Caliper off a 1987 K100 (model unknown) and he got a Brake Pipe [the hard line that connects the two front calipers] off a 1990 K75 (model unknown). The question is will those parts work on his bike?

My bike is a 1985 K100rs, but is not involved with the question above.

Hope that’s help and appreciate any insights.

the forks are basically the same  and the callipers should also be the same  if its an lt  , at best guess

if it was an rs of that year could well be different with 4 pot callipers ? and 16 valve head ?

hope that helps , but best if we could see what he bought and what its to fit

good luck

Cross reference parts like Bosch pn#'s, etc....  http://partsplusecat.com/

you have PM for your tranny

That's just factory compatibility.  There's a lot more compatibility than is shown there.  For example the brake line the OP is looking at (part 34322312691) will show as being only for K75s but it will also work on K100s with a two piece front fender.  I know that because my K100 has one.

The calipers will fit, no problem, they're the same.
The brakepipe won't fit, frontfender is different.

Tell that to my K100 that has one.  It'll fit under the two piece K100 but probably not under the early one piece front fender.

The "normal" K100 8V has the old fender Very Happy
