I'm usually a bit of a Scrooge round the xma$ holiday$ but this crazy winter weather, deep cold for here in the Pacific North Wet (-9C/16F) followed by an overnight inch thick ice storm & now incoming heavy rain & 10C/50F starting tonight & tomorrow, has got me feeling all nostalgic 
warm & fuzzy inside. Nuh, just kidding. Bah humbug.

The K-bike is wintericed for the obvious reasons shown in the pictures. Here are a couple of pictures from the area where I live. One picture also shows a small bay of the Baltic Sea.

At the supermarket to pick up some last-minute Chrissie foodstuffs, attempting to avoid the rush on xmas eve day by getting an early start, but nope, not happening. Everyone and their Christmas hat is there already, too.

Paid, thank you all round, and cheery "merry xmas" exchanges, now heading toward the door. There's the glowing lotto machine standing in the corner calling. I've an extra green fiver to waste. But there's a queue. I hesitate. Move on, it's a good sign. The lottery and gambling are for people who are bad at maths. Save your dosh.

At the sliding doors, pulling on the hat against the sideways rain and wind, there's a smiling bellringer from the Salvos, all dressed in red cheer, and a Christmas hat. In the pot goes my "spare" fiver. Someone at this time of the year, and as good as any other time, needs it more than me.
