Life has been crazy for me. Everything is good but my time got eaten up by all this crap that I really didn't need. Never got to go on a long ride out west. Had to paint the house and do all sorts of other stuff. but here I am again. Still riding and wrenching. Still looking for a long distance riding partner too but have come to believe I'll never find one. Had the K100 out the other day. She's still running great thanks to all the help I received here. Just want to say hi and wish all our US members a Happy Thanksgiving. The weather here in the NYC metro area is forecast to be sunny and in the 50s F tomorrow so I'll be riding the K while the turkey cooks. As Usual I Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth Dsc02911

Happy Thanksgiving to you also and the rest of you folks!! I will be working so the dinner will be done and on the  table when I get off! I will only have a few hours with the In laws instead of the whole day and will make 2.5 times my salary! It's a Good day! As Usual I Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth 723598

Happy Thanksgiving and hanks for the update.

It's been a tough year for me as well, so I didn't get too many miles under my bike.  Hoping to get out a bit more next year.  Weather is too darn cold and wet around here, so the bike is in the garage until Spring.

Stay in touch!

A Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the US, as well. It's a day at the kids' place, two hours north, for us. Four grandlittles, ranging in age from eleven down to two, will be running round beneath our feet, there's a new pup (yellow lab) to break in, and I'm sure my 'son-in-law' will have the turkey day gridiron going in multi-screens on the giant tele. I still don't understand the game after all the years I've spent in the US. The ladies have pre-made a load of the delicious plates they'll serve. The turkey - poor miserable, unpardoned thing - is already stuffed, literally and figuratively. I wil be sure to keep a bottle or two of red plonk set aside for adult entertainment as the arvo wears on.

I did manage to get a few good rides in this year, especially after retirement, late May. Already I've got another planned, that of a mid-winter ride down the length of the two Baja states of Mexico. Los Cabos in winter is a wonderful thing. All I have to do is to get over the mountains in southern Oregon - the Siskiyous - if there's snow or ice on the ground. The alternate is to get out to the Oregon coast, avoid the altitude, and slog through the rain down to northern California.

If ever any of you east coast mob get out thisaway on your motorpickle next year, there's a room with a comfy bed, a dry garage, and some sweet roads over and around the Cascades to get lost on. For that, this forum, the good folks who inhabit it, and the friendships I've made over the years, I'm thankful.

I second your thankful sentiments, TWB.  I, too, have made many friends and had some very good times with the great people who ride these wonderful machines.  My wife has prepped the feast today and we'll have my son's family with our two grandsons for dinner.  Our daughters, who are living in Colorado and North Carolina, will be having dinner with us on Zoom.  Should be interesting.

I'm hoping I'll be well enough to make a run out to your corner of the country through the Canadian Rockies and B.C..  It's high on my bucket list.  Maybe next year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is what I love about this forum and motorcycling in general. I drop out of sight for the better part of a year and when I return it's like I was on yesterday. Sure hope I get to do some traveling this next year  and here we are on another Thanksgiving. I'm thankful that at age 74 I'm still up on 2 wheels and wanting to hit the road. So, today after the turkey goes in the oven I hit the road and ride my K .Gave her new tires last month and an oil change so she's ready to go. I hope everyone has a great day .As Usual I Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth Dsc03710

Welcome back.

I pretty much dropped off the face of the world (forum) too these last 3 years. Surprised I didn’t see you down there…but I guess the universe is a slightly bigger place than this big old rock we call home.

I didn’t have a good excuse for my absence; my dog did not eat my K100; I was not laid low with any physical, mental or government invented ailment etc. I did change job (after 35 years doing the same thing) and move house ( to a fixer-upper) but poor excuse for my lack of riding, ride reports or ‘helpful’ forum answers. Must do better next year! santa As Usual I Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth 905546712

Yeah welcome back to you too. You had reasons for dropping off the face of the Earth , me, not so much I just sort of do this from time to time. I still ride during those times in the black hole but just lose focus of things. Got back in touch with all 6 of my registered bikes over the last 2 months.Got them all serviced and running really well. Had this pretty little blue Yamaha out yesterday to get the annual state inspection . As Usual I Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth 20656511
