So, I've got a new(ish) screen to replace the horribly crazed one. What I need to know is: if I undo the screws holding the screen on, do I have a ten minute job to swap them over or will a load of non-captive nuts fall down inside the fairing and cause me to lose my happy thought?
Do I need to remove the whole fairing to change the screen or is it an easy job?

Ta.

i guess its for an rt or lt paul ?

if so, no big hassle at all the "nuts" are a speed nut type with a top and bottom sections retained on the fiberglass

the only hard ones are the last couple that fit near the rear ...just keep an eye for washers etc that may bounce .

hope this helps

Cheers Charlie, that's a relief.
I use the bike every day to get to work so I can't risk starting a job one evening that I can't finish.

I have found it easier when putting the new screen on, to start with the middle bottom screw then work up one at a time on either side. Seems to stretch the screen out for those final two bolty things at the end. I have done this a lot as I keep forgetting how bad the wind noise is with the short screen, and get suckered into putting it back on on a hot day, then go Oh Yeah I remember now.
Pass the pills nurse.
