Hello,



I just acquired a 1985 k100 with about 8,000 miles on it from my father. I have ridden this bike many times in the past, but it has been sitting for about 8 years. I'm planning to get her back on the road in the coming months.

Welcome PureRockFury (we will have to shorten that somehow).
Look for the "what to do when you get your K"section and read all the tips. Don't be impatient and try and get her on the road too quick, evreything needs to be clean, particularly the fuel lines and electrical connections.
Lots of good info here for you

Welcome to the forum PRF, sounds like a great starting point for a second life for a K.
It always amazes me how many Ks or just bikes there are with such low miles on them.

Did you type that mileage correctly? If so that's amazing, hopefully the rubber on the bike won't have perished but the rest should be A1. Lots of help on here if you get stuck recommissioning the bike. Good luck and welcome.
