Hi everybody
I'm Reg and I live in Bristol UK
I bought my first ever BMW 2 years ago and its a
1987 K100RS 'Style'
Hi fron Bristol UK K100RS-s

Or was......
I hated the narrow bars and when I got hold of a 1985 K100RT
I pinched the fairing and bars from that and much prefer the higher/wider RT bars
the tail rack has been dumped and I made up my own level type
with a GIVI plate on it since the pic was taken.
I also added a home made 'flip up' on the RT screen and it works too as I can ride
'visor up at high speed should I wish to and more importantly, it
keeps down wind noise which is wearing on a long run
Hi fron Bristol UK K_rs_RT

Its done 75000 miles so far and I hope to get well past the 100 thousand mark
Apart from the battery and a tyre getting worn out, its never let me down
and at times its been ridden up to 500 miles in a day in all weathers

I bought temp and fuel gauges from Ebay and made my own wiring harness
and they work very well.
I do have some minor issues with it but will post that in the appropriate threads

Hi Reg,
Good to have you on board and as the weather in the UK is heading toward the warmer times it means that riding there becomes even more fun.
Regards,
K-BIKE

"the weather in the UK is heading toward the warmer times"

If you mean the rain is getting warmer now, you're right
apparently sunshine has been cancelled this year
Very Happy Very Happy

I originally came from the UK some 22 years ago and was back about 5 weeks ago for a week for a Lodge function at Great Queen St. My son who lives and works there on his overseas experience trip was telling me how mild it was in the lead up to the trip but is was a bit cool whilst I was there. Contrary to the global warming bollocks spouted by the loonies we are in a global cooling phase and have been for the last 7 or 8 years so the weather is colder and wetter. Here the Southern Alps have more snow on them than they have had for many decades.
Regards,
K-BIKE
