Glad to find your site. The first thing I need is a manual!
I have a broken handlebar lower mount, and there is no power to the taillight.
I have owned many bikes, but I am excited to have this new (old) K100.

Greetings Art welcome and jump on for a great ride.
By the way I hope you have good strong hands, you'll need them when that turbo starts working.

Welcome to the Madhouse JR, a lot of K lunatics in here.

Factory manual you can download here.
Does your front parking light function?

Thanks all
Regarding the front running light, I will look tonight. I assume the turn indicators are also the front running lights?

Thanks for the link to the service manual. Now that I took a peek at it I see the front parking light is with the headlight.
Okay then...I will look THERE

Which turbo set up do you have? How many fuel injectors. There was a 4, 5 and 8 injector set up.

I went to pickup the bike at night in the rain. I looked it over for obvious damage. It started easily and was quiet. All kinds of added guages. Was owned by BMW mechanic. The handlebars were a bit loose. I work on bikes myself, so I bought it and loaded it up. as I pulled the tiedowns tight, the handlebars rotated down. All I have done so far is remove the handlebar mounts and weld on a stud to the broken lower mount (1) , order new rubbers and washers, and diagnose the dead taillight.
Is there an easy way to see how many injectors there are in the system? I will probably be pulling off the plastic to see the engine next.
By the way, the taillight didnt work because the PO, (short term...selling for someone else, not the mechanic) had a shop install a toggle switch as the key switch was N/A,and the toggle did not add the tail/park post to the hot lead when it was on.

The 4 injector system just uses the original injectors. The 5 injector added an injector to the top of the air box. Modifying the top of the air box. The 8 injector removes the air box and replaces it with a plenum and has an additional injector mounted above the original injector so it is 2 injectors per cylinder.

welcome Art. I can't imagine what a turbo is like on one of these bikes but I bet the horizon comes up awful quick! Plenty of help here for you to help iron out the kinks.
