Hi

I recently had a look at the motobins website and noticed they stock the older version of the oil seal, although they did mention that it's only available whilst stock lasts.
Apparently they are a lot easier to install than the newer version.
Anyone have an opinion about this situation.
It could potentially make life easier for those of us who have a leaky oil pump!

Cheers

Wasn't the seal redesigned because of longevity issues? That could be a concern.

If I had a choice I would be using the newer ceramic seal and the upgrade kit but use the cast impeller by taking 3mm off the boss so it sits right. The cast impeller would pump a heap more coolant than the pressed steel one.

Not certain why the seal design was changed but if it means I can use the existing components, it's a risk I'm willing to take.
My original seal lasted approximately 100000 Kim's.
