Hi,
I'm replacing the clutch pushrod gaiter on my '83 k100 which was leaking. The new one from motorworks is a much looser fit around the clutch actuating arm than the old one and I'm worried it will just leak. Should I use some hermetite sealant on the gap?

If you have the clutch adjusted corectly you should not need any sealant.
The seal takes place on the flat surface where the cover seal meets the actuating arm, if you look you will see 2 ridges of rubber that make the seal against the flat area around the adjustment screw.
If you have a haynes or clymer the instructions are in them on the adjustment proceedure.

The gaiter should have a longer extrusion on one side. I pulled this over the small metal sleeve at the end of the plastic sheath that the cable runs through.
