Hi everyone.

I've had my K100 for a couple of months slowly working on getting it registered and on the road and it's having all of the usual strange K100 specific problems. I'm enjoying that at least it's easy to google problems and get very detailed answers.

Things I've battled with so far are the starter not stopping when there is a low battery voltage, key turning too far the right and it cutting out the bike, bike not starting with the choke out - rather start the bike without the choke and use it to warm up the bike, rear brake light switch gunked up, sticky throttle, etc., etc.

I've got the todo list down to figure out how to relabel the faded controls, source new footpeg rubbers, and check the pins and levers for the clutch and front brake for wear and serviceability, when the starter stopped engaging to turn over the engine. At least I'll know the bike inside out when I do get it on the road.

I'm pretty sure there's another K100 under a cover on my street. Anyone here park near the Fitzroy North bus terminal?

Looking forward to getting involved with the forum.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to our funny farm. Check out the forum for using diesel lubricating oil in the K It cleans the gunk out of the sprag clutch and lets things work again.
