Just joined the forum collecting a k100 84 model this week from a friend.
I used to ride this bike about 18 yrs ago on loan its been outside under a heavy duty cover since then.
My plan for this bike is to strip all the non essentials off and re morph it into a street tracker style bike .
Im currrently retsoring and old classic car so will probably get that finished before I strip this down .
Will need forks re paint engine blast etc but happy to do that I have other bikes so not going down the origanal rebuild route .
I dont live too  far from bsk so between them and joing this forum I look forward to asking and learning along the way may post some snaps up when it arrives.

Welcome to the forum. You will get a lot of technical help here and we also occasionally meet up. .

18 years outside is a long time to be parked up outside, been a lot of weather in that time. But the Ks do withstand a lot.

You may have some parts to sell off too. But before you do anything have a look at the home page here. There is a section about what to do if you have just bought a K.

Got it back now and had a chance to wash it and get it in for a look.
First impressions considering its been under a cover since 99 pretty good .
On the frame only surface rust light , corrosion on all alloy but no too bad .
Switches all free throttle and throttle bodys operate ok too.
I shant use this one for a re vamp reasons being its all complete 2 owners  interesting history and a low frame number .
So will be all redone to origanal spec.

I have tried to upload some pictures from my phone but strugling if no joy will take some with the camera.

New K bike 212902 I'm not a purist by any means and certainly don't want K100's becoming antique collectables. I also appreciate that some cafe jobs do look really good (and probably have a lot of money invested in them in the process) but it is good news that your bike is going to stay as it was meant!

Good luck with the restoration.
