Got 2 Advisors. 1st one was pointed out/expected after the 1st ride after fitting new head bearings.

The 2nd came about after the testers previous 30yrs test/servicing of bikes.

The pivot point of the rear brake pedal was/is corroding. On K bikes its a problem due to the ally rotting "like wood"

Any experience?

mentioned the much flagged waved spline lube stuff and all he had to say was the internet makes the world a small place! Citing a regular 750k+ bike they service that had never had another problem, except the brake pedal. Which his lad said He had seen on 3 other K bikes.

I haven't heard of a specific brake pedal problem Betty but if you look at post 140 in this thread you'll see what the rot did to my handlebar clamp and it'w well protected on an LT!

Is this what you're talking about?
No real solution but this was discussed just a few weeks back.

Yeah the sidecar thread looks like what He said it would look like overtime, if you see what I mean.
"I've got through at least 3 over the years" One a year seems like a problem to Me though chaps.
The only time I've replaced a brake pedal on a jap bike is after an accident.
Is the only solution to keep replacing them? That and some rearsets of course.

Powder coating them should help. Apparently it's the salt that causes it.

'Over the years' means 30 years with my solo and 27 years with my outfit.........3 brake levers in 57 years doesn't sound too bad. roundel
