might take a break from car stuff on sunday ...."gerty" needs a wash before heading off ...should be down there about 11 ish

The center of the Laverda universe seems to have shifted to Oz, due in large part to the good work of Red (and Max?).

also came across some k bikes in the parking paddock for the event








nice to see some other "k" bikes still getting around town  especially in this " chilly for us" weather  (recent snow on the hills ...a bit further west of here )

About roughly 24 years ago, a mate of mine here in Gladstone trucked (so that the Staintune exhaust wouldn't discolour) his R100 Renn Sport to the Laverda Concourse.
Believe me, this bike was IMMACULATE. Attention to detail was absolutely mind boggling. So much so, that he took out best bike of the show. But strangely only got second in the best BMW section.

Which leads to the question..........how can he get the award for the best bike of ALL entrants, then get second in his section ? Didn't his bike beat all others ?
The bemmers weren't judged for the display of the bike, just condition. Someone must have had his nose out of joint !
