Just a few piccies of my Bike on her first full shake down ride this morning on a trip from Manchester to the Welsh Border.

A few things to sort as this is an ongoing adaptive bike. Next in the pot for consideration is some rear sets and sorting the slightly over heavy front end handling at low speed.

What I started off with

Prior to some of the fitting work being finished prior to the UK Road Test ( MOT)

Sorry these are not the clearest but show the development so far

Nice outing!!!

So what size wheels and tyres are on there? The tyres look big but front wheel looks small but that may just be me. Also is that standard rear shock and are the fork stanchions raised up? You have taken off a lot of weight too.

Hi there thank you for your Interest. Sorry for delay in reply but Christmas was upon us.

The Idea of this rebuild was for it to look old and shabby with some Patina and more in the style of a usable running home built bike. As that's what it will be doing for me.

The bike is running on Conti Go 100/90-18 up front with Conti Go 130/90-17 rear.

The rear frame was shortened as seen, with the rear ABS module cable shortened by about 12 inches and tucked in above the relocated ECU box.

The front end just now uses the brace part of the front mudguard with a cut down front part re attached as it's a nightmare riding in this wonderful wet weather without it. My intention is to fabricate an alloy or fibre glass shortened and thinner guard up front.

I have retained the original clocks with a small fairing attached which was fabricated out of a steel Chinese wok that we had lying around ( with the wife's blessing I hasten to add as it always rusted up after washing ) It is painted as such purely to cover what the log book states about the bike being black and white in colour. (it will be black when I have sorted the colour options out)

The painted lines in Black / red and white have all been scotched down to look rough and everything black likewise scuffed back to look ratty!

Side covers are stainless steel home built.

Original tank in it's bare alloy shape (and a nightmare to keep clean)

Seat is a full leather unit which will allow a pillion if really necessary.

Rear Mudguard was cut and shortened with everything beneath the seat retained.

Exhaust was simply cut and shortened and re welded with just the rear long internal baffle only removed with stainless wire stuffed in. ( not excessively loud )

Rear light is LED with indicators.

The bars sit on the top under the Yoke.

Front end position unaltered but considering options

Rear shock is off an 1100 with a spring ring cut back although I will be refitting the standard shock.

As I adjust and alter I will hopefully paste up on here.

I will be sorting rear sets soon along with altering the side stand and getting it to handle a bit better at low turning speeds. I also need to re arrange the Clocks and their bracket as the rubber bushings make it bounce around with the fairing now attached. I also managed to get a spare engine off ebay which will allow me to fit either polished or white painted side covers. I am also fabricating an alternative airbox which retains all the internals but utilises a Re usable Bell-mouth filter.
