Greetings from OKC.

I recently bought an 85 k100rt and I can't wait to get my hands dirty with it. It had been sitting (lightly maintained) in PO's garage for almost 7 years. It has about 96,xxx but still runs strong (not without issues though.) I have been perusing this site since contemplating the purchase of my new to me k. I have already come to appreciate the content on here and am eager to learn all I can.

Welcome HighlyBlessed

It would be surprising if a 31 year old bike with 96k didn't have a few issues. It's not the 96k that would cause the issues, more the 7 years sitting doing nothing. These K's love to run and she will reward you for your efforts in getting her sorted out.

I'm sure you have already, but check out the mine of information on the portal page and use the search function to seek answers to any particular issue you may have. Anything else, just ask and someone, somewhere should be able to help.

Enjoy

Thank you for boosting my confidence. With a new baby at home, I've only been able to ride it from where I bought it and to run a short errand and already I love it! First things first though, I need to sort out a broken odometer and make sure the spline is good to go.
