So I’m I the military and tbh don’t have to much time on my hands. I just got my bike back from the mechanic road off fine mechanic (had clutch replaced). Come to the next day I can hear the starter but no start wait a few hours and notice that when hitting the ignition button now nothing happens. In my mind I assumed it was the battery which needed a charge. So I decided to replace the whole thing. Now I’m stuck with a new clutch new battery, but a bike that won’t start. Does anyone have an idea on what I can do/check. I will also mention it was in a shop for about 6 months gas definitely lost its potency. Did I flood the engine burn out the starter I’m not sure where to start

My next assumption is that I possibly fried the starter relay

Have you tried the obvious things?:

•  check the kill switch is in the right position
  
• are you in neutral (or have clutch lever pulled in)?
  
• do you have a side stand interlock? - try starting with side stand up
  
• do you hear the whine of the fuel pump when you press the start button?
  
• is the ignition on - all all indications looking normal on the instrument cluster?
  
• have you checked the fuses are all good?
  

If your old battery was pretty dead, it is possible that you could have fried the start relay, but from accounts I have read - this tends to weld the contacts on and makes the starter run continuously until the battery goes completely flat rather than not run at all. 

6 month old fuel is unlikely to be your issue - you rode home from the mechanics (without any issue?). Fuel does go off, but that wouldn't account for silence when you press the starter button...the bike isn't that clever!

Does this mean the engine was turning over but not starting, or does it mean the starter was spinning but the engine was not turning over?

Along with BAE's suggestions, check that the battery cables are tightly connected to their terminals, check that the left-side battery ground connection to the transmission is clean and tight, and check that the fuel injection control unit plug under the seat is firmly latched to the unit.

If the battery is fully charged and all those elements check out ok, what happens when the starter button is pushed? If nothing, sometimes locating the starter relay and knocking on it a couple of times will set things into motion.

Yes I rode off with no problem, the engine was turning over assumed it was having trouble starting in the cold 55*. I started to hear the starter sound like it was having a harder and harder time. Then it came to the point where after turning the key the light will come on but when hitting the starter button nothing.
• I have check the fuses good
• battery to ignition is clean
• in neutral
• is set on center stand
• I cannot hear the fuel pump( seems as though after my last try to start it all my lights and indicators/horn work but nothing else
• also to be noted the coolant reservoir is below minimum/ I was going to fill it up the day I started it.( not sure if this affects anything, tbh I don’t know much of what I’m doing).

Im still at a no start with my bike I've checked round about everything. The starter motor runs fine connected it too a car battery to test. I wanted to see if anyone had any further suggestions before i take it to a mechanic. the only thing thats really changed is a buzzing noise when i turn on the turn signals. besides that all lights and horn work just no crank or spin from the motor or starter, the last time i was able to get it to crank the starter slowly stopped spinning and went to a dead stop.

My last thought is possibly the starter relay but the contacts look fine on it and the bike didn't give any of the symptoms of a dying relay besides the no start

Charge the battery for at least 5 hours then put a meter across the pos and neg terminals, press the start button and if as I suspect the voltage drops from 12.6V to less than 10.5 the battery is very suspect.  Take the battery to an auto shop and ask if they will load test it.  Just to note it usually doesn't pay to let the battery run down on a K because it can weld the starter relay contacts together if the battery is low and if the cranking voltage gets below about 9.5 Volts the ignition module wont work and then there is no chance of it starting.

I hope that charging your battery will bring it back.  Reading this thread it's obvious that you discharged it back on November 4th.  If indeed it has been sitting with no charge for nearly two months it will have lost most of it's ability to hold any significant charge. 

Batteries do not like to sit with no charge on the plates, it results in a chemical process that changes the lead to a compound that prevents the storage of electrical power.  As far as I know the process is not reversible, so you may have to replace an almost new battery.  The good news is that your battery may have a warranty where you can get a new one in exchange for the one you wrecked.

If charging overnight does not get it to where it will spin the starter for more than a few seconds, you should take it back to where you got it to have it load tested.  Load testing checks the ability of a fully charged battery to put out the power needed to start your motor.  If your battery fails, you have a good chance to have it replaced if it's only two months old.
