Why do sharks swim circles around you before attacking?

Two great white sharks, swimming in the ocean, spied survivors of a sunken ship.

"Follow me, son," the father shark said to the son shark and they swam to the mass of people. "First we swim around them a few times with just the tip of our fins showing."

And they did.

"Well done, son! Now we swim around them a few more times with all of our fins showing."

And they did.

"Now we eat everybody."

And they did.

When they were both gorged, the son asked, "Dad, why didn't we just eat them all at first? Why did we swim around and around them so many times?"

His wise father replied, "Because they taste better without the shit inside!"

It would be funner for us Aussies if we didn't loose a surfer a few days ago to a great white... or was it a white pointer ... by all appearances it was a bloody big one.

At least the poor battler was able to swim back to shore, albeit bleeding and shredded, but be comforted by rescuers and strangers who spoke to him of his two children (ages two and seven years) wanting to be able to see him in an effort to get him to hold on, before he passed to the other side. He died doing something he loved and he was aware, by all reports, of the dangers, as he'd had a close call on the Gold Coast last year before he was ripped to shreds out in WA a few days ago. White Pointer is what I'd heard. Yeah.
